On the 24th March 2015 the School participated in a peaceful march which started at 1 pm from Rhodes University Administration building on the 24th of April 2015. A lot of groups were present from local individuals, institutions, schools, faith-based groups, civil society groups etc. Over the past fortnight our country has witnessed terrible violence perpetrated against fellow human beings from other parts of the continent and the world. This violence is a frontal attack on the values enshrined in our Constitution. The Rhodes University Vice –Chancellor Dr Sizwe Mabizela invited the entire University community to join him in a peaceful demonstration to show the community’s objection to the xenophobic violence recently witnessed in South Africa.
