During term 2 2018, the Grade ones have been very busy learning about space. They have learnt the names of the planets in our solar system and the position of earth. This started with various writing activities, videos and stories, after which, the children got to make their own solar systems. In addition, we visited the Albany museum where we saw their solar system display and learned more about how the moon goes around the earth and what causes an eclipse. The Grade ones have had great fun decorating their class to look like space and imagining what it would be like to go into space as an astronaut.
